Uses of Reflective Tapes

Reflective tapes are the safety tapes that are used in number of industries as plumbing, aerospace, road safety, apparel, automotive and electrical. Also the sign boards on the sides of roads, close to shop, at construction sites and even the medical equipments uses the reflective tapes.

Reflective tapes reflect light during night and also during bad weather thus make the things or persons visible and avert any danger of big or small accident. The adhesive industrial tapes adhere to many types of surfaces like concrete, foam, plastic, wood, ceramic, paper, glass, rubber, fabric, tiles or floor. So it is extensively used for safety purposes.

With the use of reflective tapes on trucks the number of accidents on highways have reduced a lot. • 3M reflective tapes are used on signs, automobiles and vehicles along with work apparels and worked especially when these are used at night.
• Hazard reflective tapes are used on floor for marking. Railing, steps and hazardous area uses reflective tapes in abundance.
• Reflective tapes are also used in categorizing and for identification purposes as these are available colors.
• Pin striping of these tapes is done on cars, motorcycles, trucks and boats. Motorcycle reflective tapes are also available in invisible color. So if you do not want to use the bright colored tape then go for the invisible one that will be visible only at night.
• Any signage that requires illuminated application uses reflective tapes. Also reflective sheets for this purpose are available. These are then cut into required sizes and patterns.
• The clothing that is wore in case of security has the reflective tapes in varied patterns. Especially uniform of the security guards that works at night has the reflective tapes.
• These are also used on clothes as style enhancers.
• Runners, bikers and hikers uses 3M reflective tapes for visibility from distance in dark. The 3m reflective tapes are so made that it is easy to adhere them and also these do not peel off in any activity.
• These tapes are also used on the children's school bags and clothings.
