December 27, 2009- Struges Manufacturing has recently developed a new high energy absorbing webbings. This energy absorbing webbing has met the requirements for personal energy absorber that have been led by the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). These are also approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). According to the new energy absorber requirement ANSI/ASSE Z359.13-2009, any fresh energy absorbing lanyard or personal energy absorber must cut down its force on the user and this should be 10 times less than the normal gravitational pull of the earth. The weight of these absorbent should be between 130 to 310 lbs (59 – 140 kg).
The Energy Absorbing Webbings by Sturges Manufacturing meet these requirements. Tear webbing and POY webbing have been developed by Struges Manufacturing for 6’ and 12’ requirements.
