An International 'Organic Textile – Ensuring Product Integrity' Seminar is going to be held in Mumbai on March 12, 2010. The seminar has been organized by the Textile Association of India at Hotel ITC Maratha, Sahar, Andheri (E), Mumbai.
The importance of the Organic Textile lies in the fact that the market and awareness of organic textile is increasing day by day. Owing to this there are more than 3 million registrations by the exporters, importers, chemicals and dyes manufacturers along with others for this organic textile seminar. Also the Indian Government has set a target in which the sale of organic product is set to increase ten times by the end of 2012 from 2008. To achieve this National Centre for Organic Farming (NCOF) has been set up under agriculture ministry to initiate projects.
As far as the supply chain for organic textile is concerned then it is well-pronounced in India. This further leads to the proper growth of organic textile industry as a whole.
