Webbing can be defined as a flat strip or a tube like woven fabric having variety of width. This narrow fabric is called webbing because of the web like meshed material used for making it. Some of the fabric fibers used for making webbings include cotton, jute, nylon, polyester, polypropylene etc. Other than fabrics, webbings are also made with other materials like plastic and vinyl etc. Although nylon webbings and polyester webbings are considered very strong webbings, nowadays, the webbings manufacturers also use certain exceptionally strong materials like Dyneema and Kevlar for making yet stronger webbings for more demanding applications.
